All I know is that she wrote romance stories from the Regency era and I would like to give it a try as I read favourable comments from here and other blogs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33189102.post-39108441988707414622008-06-12T14:42:00.000-04:002008-06-12T14:42:00.000-04:00I'd only heard of Heyer in passing before Robin Mc...I'd only heard of Heyer in passing before Robin McKinley started a discussion about books on her blog, and included Heyer as one of her go-to authors. If an author like McKinley, who writes such awesome stories and kick-ass heroines enjoys Heyer, then I'm definitely there. Also, Heyer sounds like great Snowy-Sunday-with-a-warm-cuppa kind of reading.Sarah O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01336602241504980801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33189102.post-22004390227921285932008-06-08T14:49:00.000-04:002008-06-08T14:49:00.000-04:00I've never read a Heyer book but have been hearing...I've never read a Heyer book but have been hearing a lot about her on the Jane Austen blogs lately. I think they sound like fun reading that lets you learn a little, too. Besides, if a Janeite recommends books/authors, I have to give them a try! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33189102.post-48500771232621341282008-06-08T11:40:00.000-04:002008-06-08T11:40:00.000-04:00I have not read any books yet, I am still new to a...I have not read any books yet, I am still new to alot of authors and had not ehard of them til today, but I know that would enjoy reading them.Dinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13363922982973526678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33189102.post-35860031237458962902008-06-07T20:22:00.000-04:002008-06-07T20:22:00.000-04:00I've only read one Heyer novel, The Black Moth, so...I've only read one Heyer novel, The Black Moth, so I guess that is my favorite. :-) I recently purchased two of her books and I am looking forward to reading them.Jeanettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17311918064009586996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33189102.post-40261223792244301922008-06-07T18:25:00.000-04:002008-06-07T18:25:00.000-04:00I've never read any of her books, but recently som...I've never read any of her books, but recently someone on another blog was raving about them and I had been thinking that I should give her books a try. :)

AmyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33189102.post-79939486883751529542008-06-07T12:47:00.000-04:002008-06-07T12:47:00.000-04:00Ooooh, I'd like a go. I think my favourite would be Prudence from The Masqueraders. She was brave, honest, independent, knew what she wanted in life, but was willing to give it up for her family, was extremely loyal, but not so much of any of that to become annoying!a travellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02559346755503817562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33189102.post-45616076274387564462008-06-07T03:45:00.000-04:002008-06-07T03:45:00.000-04:00I'm already a Heyer fan and although I haven't rea...I'm already a Heyer fan and although I haven't read all her books this is a difficult question as almost all the heroines I've read about were interesting. I'll go with one of the first ones I've read - Horatia from The Convenient Marriage, she was a mix of determination, confidence, innocence and in definite need of being saved from herself. It's a fun read and one of the books I reread for Seccionistahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14412042139824865664noreply@blogger.com
