ReplyDeleteI think I've only watched Anne played by Saly Hawkins. She's a bit on the plain side and I can't imagine her to be pretty at one time. But I do like Anne Elliot, she was consistent in love and sensible in life.

I have always enjoyed the version with Amanda Root...and I must say the character of Anne and her attributes is a good model of mature womanhood that we all should try to emulate more closely !
