  6. Syrie -- I would love a copy of the book! And I am very interested in how you prepare yourself to "become" the characters. Do you have a special room with period furnishings? Dress like the character? Put on special music?Use a quill pen? Tell!

  7. Please add my name to the draw! I was on holiday in London this May and stopped by The British Library to view a letter written by Charlotte to the professor but it was not being displayed at the moment, sigh. Oh well, there's always a next time.

  8. I'd love to read this, being both an Austen & Bronte lover. For Ms. James: How did you overcome the intimidation at writing two highly iconic literary figures? Was it difficult not to deify these characters--people, really--as you wrote?

I absolutely loved Syrie James' first book on Jane Austen, it is definitely one of my all time favorite books. How I wished that the story was true! I have had her second book on my wishlist ever since I finished the first one and I cannot wait to read it. I love reading/watching anything by, on, or about Jane Austen and the Brontes. I am very curious to learn more about Charlotte Bronte since I have not read a biography on her, although I have seen this DVD called Bronte Country that discusses about the Brontes life, books, and homes. Jane Eyre is a very special book for me because it was my first classic and made me fall in love reading classics. I can't wait to see how Syrie James used it in her novel!
