O.k before I comment on the post I must say "Welcome back Nigel" You were sorely missed !
The story of "Emma" will transfer very nicely to a Bollywood production. Like the setting and inner workings of the plots in the book, India has very specific socio-economic lines drawn there as well ( class/cast )
Just saw this film today. You can see my comments in the blog.
By the way, it isn't Sonam's dad (anil kapoor) who plays Aisha's father in the film.
Interestingly, in yesterday's paper, Sonam was quoted to say that she loves VICTORIAN novels like Emma - obviously she doesn't know much about Jane Austen though she plays Emma very well.
Love the new background on your site and thanks to blogger for the new design features.
ReplyDeleteIt seems "different" but I am willing to give anything a try! Bollywood very popular in my part of the world.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for this movie. I loved Bride and Prejudice, and this looks similar.

ReplyDeletecheers.
Yes, it is nice to see Nigel, who, for two years, was a regular. He has been busy lately! Nice to see your comment, Nigel!
