Keira and Carey: Pride and Prejudice Alumni Reunite for Another Film

Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan (r) are in Never Let Me Go, a film about three friends who grow up together and attend the same boarding school. In an interview with Mail Online, Carey, who was sixteen when she played the role of Kitty Bennet, "credits Knightley for being her 'acting coach' while they were on the set of Pride And Prejudice."

The film, which also features Sally Hawkins(Anne Elliot, Persuasion), is scheduled to be released in the U.S. in October. Interestingly, this drama has a sci-fic ending. (I have not read the book by Kazuo Ishiguro.) Watch a short video about filming the movie...

...and the film's trailer.

  1. Ooooooh, looks like it will be a bit of a thriller with an edgy romance theme to it.

  2. Good grief! It seems that every time I turn around I see Carey Mulligan in yet another film! Admittedly, most of what we watch is Brit stuff, and it IS a small island, but...I wonder if she ever sleeps!

  3. Carey Mulligan seems to be churning out movies like actresses used to in the Golden Age of Movies ( old studio/under contract system ) The more I see her and her amazing range, the more I like her !

  4. Never Let Me Go is one of the most beautiful novel ever!! You have to read it, especially if you want to see the movie...

It's not really a "sci-fi" ending - the journalist has clearly not read the book! The genre is more "dystopian", if you want a category...but truly, it deals beautifully with universal questions (death, loss, friendship...)
