When I read the news about Prince William engagement to Miss Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, one question occurred to me: would Miss Middleton be a distant relative of Sir John Middleton from Devonshire? Owner of Barton Cottage and dear cousin of Mrs. Dashwood?

I think that is possible about Sir John...he's such an amiable and generous relative...his MIL is also, although her overwhelming need to say and do things that are well meant, but embarrassing might be a problem for the Royal Family ! (as if they needed any more nonsense going on )
