Little Girl's Dress, 1810-1815

This girl's dress looks like a miniature version of an adult's gown. The dress was probably made from another dress, perhaps from the girl's mother. Nevertheless, it is in remarkable condition considering that it had been worn by a five year old.

I dunno, Miss Paula... My stay is not that comfortable. I'm usually very happy to release the laces after a regency event. :)

I'm intrigued at the large print on that little dress. Sort of a surprise since we tend to think of small, daintier prints and roller prints instead.

I suppose they also recycled out of style gowns for their children's playwear.
