In this short 2008 interview, Elliot Cowan discusses his role as Mr. Darcy:
I found the video on Jane Austen NL, which is a Dutch Jane Austen blog. Karin, the blog's founder, visited Bath and participated in the world record promenade of the largest group of people dressed in regency costumes. See her images of the walk in this link.

LOL, he's funny! Loved that line to his mother about how he wasn't going to die in this role :). Thanks so much for sharing it.
Oh, what a wonderful little clip - thanks for sharing! I watched his performance in the Poirot episode "Taken At the Flood" (I think I've got the title right) and it made me appreciate his take on Darcy all the more...he seems to have a tendency to play baddies really well. :)
Excellent find! Cowan was a fabulous Darcy... one of his small hidden roles was as the weird bookseller in "Happy Go-Lucky" - I was hoping he would somehow be a part of the unfolding plot, but no such "luck" - so one just had to be content with him scowling behind his beard...
Thanks for posting this!
Love this guy in any role he's in...and he has the most expressive eyes. Thank you for posting the clip !
