Emma 2009 premieres on BBC One in the UK on Sunday, October 4th. You can read a preview and view a slideshow of great production stills on the miniseries on Austenprose. My favorite character in Jane Austen's novel is Harriet Smith. This lovely photo is of Louise Dylan who looks blonde enough for the role, ableit a bit older than sixteen. Let's hope she does not make her too much of a ditz! Enjoy!

i am very much excited!
Yes poor Harriet,
and yet she appears to meet all her challenges with good natured resilience. It would be wonderful to meet the person who Austen based her on.
I think she is one of Austens sweetest characters along with Fanny Price.
Can't wait for Emma! But I was wondering, has anybody seen the 1970s version of Sense and Sensibility yet? I believe the DVD was just released today, and I'm eager for any reviews on it. Thanks!
Patiently waiting for it to come to the USA! Sigh...
I can't wait to see it!
Oh, I hope they will show it in Australia soon.

I am all excitement and impatience.
And I agree with Nigel. Harriet is the sweetest of Austen's sweets.
I certainly hope US viewers get to see it soon.
