Colin Firth Thinks He's Too Old to Be A Sex Symbol! NAH

Colin quote of the week from Hello Magazine when asked if he is still a sex symbol at 49.

"I think I'm getting a bit old for that stuff now, aren't I? I suppose that because of the profession I'm in, I do get a certain amount of attention that I probably would not get if I had not been known. I certainly wouldn't get the attention I get if I hadn't been on screen."

Sooo humble! He probably would not have admited his sex appeal in 1995 either, even though half the world swooned when he jumped in a lake in Pride and Prejudice!

I actually even think he gets sexier with the years. Just compare him in let's say "Valmont" to what we have seen so far from "A single man" or of course to the inevitable P&P adaption.
And the humbleness makes him only cuter. So, swoon indeed.

I read the interview somewhere earlier as well. I think if he plays Mr. Darcy again (if BBC wants to remake it), I will definitely watch it and buy the DVD. He ages well.

Steamy Darcy

After all the Darcy swooning in the comments section since Jane Austen Today came online ,I just go with it, now.

He'd be my McSaucey even if he had never played Darcy.

I never thought him sexy until he played Darcy. Perhaps it was my own age. But if every an actor and a character were meant for each other it is these two.
