This is my desktop background both at work and on all of my computers:

The reason he's there is because I need something to remind me daily why I shouldn't load him into a rocket and shoot him into the sun... that once he was sweet and innocent, even if that only lasted for 30 seconds. His name is Simon. He looks like this now:
I usually use a photo we have taken on our many trips visiting our family and it depends on my mood also. Lately it has been fall scenes and our grandchildren playing in leaf piles.
I change at least once a month. This month it is a jackolantern...even though I really don't care for Halloween. One of my faves was a pic from Becoming Jane.
Thank you all! I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed viewing your desktop images! Such variety. Being rather lazy, I change mine only once a year. It is interesting to know that in Kaye's case they change every hour or that some people change them seasonally.
I'm surprised that you change yours only once a year Vic! I somehow thought you'd change it on a regular basis! I fall somewhere in between - sometimes a favourite image will remain there for a while, other times it changes daily when I keep running into wonderful images.
I'm not exactly a Firth fanatic but I do like this image so he's currently at home on my desktop. http://yfrog.com/71colinfirthj
Mine is a lurvely picture of the inside of a little cottage with afternoon tea on the table, scones on the fireplace oven, a kitten sleeping on a cozy chair... always so inviting to look at!

I'm still using the monthly "Looking back at Ackerman's Repository" wallpapers from solitary-elegance.com. One year was not enough!

My desktop is the drawing of Jane and it says in large letters "What Would Jane Do?"
For the past year or two, this has been mine: http://www.vistawallpaper.org/vista-wallpapers/pride-and-prejudice.jpg .

But it changes every hour.
I change mine a lot depending on my mood and the season. This month it's Halloween themed (but no zombies!)

Mine is basically this image from Bright Star: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/still/bright_star07.jpg
However, it's got the movie title and actors' names. The official site for the movie appears to be down right now.
