  1. I've already entered the contest in the other post, but anyways.
    in Pride and Prejudice 2005:
-Darcy pretending to be Jane so that Bingley can practice proposing.
    -Bingley proposing to Jane
-Darcy's first proposal (even if it's nothing like the book...)
-The Bennetts visiting Jane at Netherfield.
-Jane and Lizzy getting ready for the Netherfield ball

    Pride and Prejudice 1995:
-pretty much any scene with Mr. Bennet. He's HILARIOUS.
    -The netherfield ball
    - Lizzy telling Jane that she's engaged
-when Lizzy is listening to a conversation about the meryton ball and says "too many ladies". The way she says it is hilarious.

  2. P&P 1995:
When Lizzy plays the piano and Darcy watches her with this look of total love and devotion
Also, the proposal: "you must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you" because my fiance proposed with that line :)

  3. I just love the proposal scene.

  4. Wow! This is hard. I love so many scenes from the book... but I think my favorite is when Mr. Darcy puts Miss Bingley in her place at Pemberley after Elizabeth leaves. That scene is incredible! I love how he finally stands up for Elizabeth and silences Miss Bingley. It is also at a great turning point, full of surprises and uncertainty as she visits his house--that's when we know for certain he is still in love with her!

My favorite scene is Mr. Collins proposes to Lizzy and she can hardly help laughing when he suggests that he is run away with by his feelings! The whole scene is hilarious, and completely typical of Lizzy and Mr. Collins

"Mr. Bennet's expectations were fully answered. His cousin was as absurd as he had hoped, and he listened to him with the keenest enjoyment, maintaining at the same time the most resolute composure of countenance, and except in an occasional glance at Elizabeth, requiring no partner in his pleasure."

This is my favorite part of Pride and Prejudice because it perfectly describes my relationship with my father. We are Elizabeth and Mr. Bennet. We always give it each other little looks to mock others. I was rereading this during my first few weeks at college. I was so homesick that I started crying when I read this.

There are so many but to name a few:
    -When Mr. Collins proposes.
-When Lizzy and Darcy are having their discussion at the Binley's when Jane is sick. Darcy in intrigued by Lizzy's opinions.
-Lizzy standing up to Lady Catherine when she came to visit.
    -Both of Darcy's proposals

  8. My favorite part is when Elizabeth is at Pemberly with her relatives getting the tour and then Mr. Darcy comes home and goes 90 mph to change his clothes to join them before they attempt to leave. Then he gives them a personalized tour of the grounds and they spend the afternoon walking together. (sigh)

Wow, there are quite a number of favourite scenes for me. I think when the Bingleys, Lizzy Bennet and Mr Darcy are having a discussion about woman's accomplishments and the first proposal scene. I also like the Pemberley tour by the Gardiners and Lizzy Bennet before Mr Darcy arrived and after he arrived to give a personal tour of the grounds of Pemberley.

My favourite scenes are Darcy's proposals, both of them.

  11. Easily, Mr. Collins' proposal. If people think that shows like "The Office" invented the awkward moment, they need look no further than Jane Austen.

  12. My favorite part is when Darcy puts Caroline Bingley in her place after Elizabeth leaves Pemberley.

"He then went away, and Miss Bingley was left to all the satisfaction of having forced him to say what gave no one any pain but herself."

It is just so beautiful. The first time he loved her & was unafraid of the backlash from "society".

I must be a sadist, because my favourite scene, regardless of whether it is in the book or a filmed adaptation of said book is Mr. Collins' proposal. There's something about his... obsequiousness (if that's even a word) that strikes me as absolutley hilarious! The fact that he seems to be trying to sell himself to her (presenting an argument as to why she should marry him, mst of which somehow involve Lady Catherine...)just adds to it. I particularily like in the 2005 version when he offers Lizzie the little flower/weed thing. I laugh every time!

My favourite scene is the one at Rosings, when Elizabeth plays the piano with Fitzwilliam by her side, and Darcy comes and she teazes him and he replies making a compliment : "No one admitted to the privilege of hearing you can think anything wanted" - I love that part, because Darcy gets to explain why he didn't dance at the first ball, and they're teazing each other as if they were already married, it's simply great !!
