It seems "different" but I am willing to give anything a try! Bollywood very popular in my part of the world.
I'm excited for this movie. I loved Bride and Prejudice, and this looks similar.

The story of "Emma" will transfer very nicely to a Bollywood production. Like the setting and inner workings of the plots in the book, India has very specific socio-economic lines drawn there as well ( class/cast )

By the way, it isn't Sonam's dad (anil kapoor) who plays Aisha's father in the film.
Interestingly, in yesterday's paper, Sonam was quoted to say that she loves VICTORIAN novels like Emma - obviously she doesn't know much about Jane Austen though she plays Emma very well.
