What!! how can you not go weak at the knees over Greg Wise?
Last February while visiting London my friends and I went and saw a play after I hear my friends saying look, look it is Snap. I asked who snape was but when I saw Alan Rickman I said oh you mean Colonel Brandon.
I think Greg Wise definitely did it the most effortless & knight in shining armor type of way. But there is just so much love & tenderness in the way Alan Rickman did it that he won my vote.

How cruel to force me to choose between Alan Rickman and Greg Wise. Greg Wise wins romantic, but Alan Rickman wins most moving.
Alan Rickman...I love it when he says " Give me an occupation, or I shall run mad " His tortured love and passion was awesome in his portrayal of Col. Brandon !
Enid, You are right! Like Jane Austen, I need an editor and proofer to keep me honest. A writer is always at a disadvantage when relying upon their own eyes, and not a set of fresh ones. Thank you for pointing that out.
It is Mr. Willoughby, indeed! I did not see the mistake with clear eyes until I returned to read the post a full day after writing it.
