Liberty of London Evening Dress

I know, I know. This is an 1880's dress from Liberty of London, not a Regency dress. But I SWOON. What a perfect color for fall.

Evening gown, 1880s
Attributed to Liberty of London (British, founded 1875)
Yellow China silk

I think I need one.

I agree that it's a beautiful dress, but that color would be really hard for most women to pull off.

While this dress is 19th century, there's something about it that's also very contemporary, and I could see this at Fashion Week and coming down the red carpet.

I like the style of the dress...but I think I would absolutely love it if it was blue. Eliza M was right that the color would be bad for many women to wear.

Beautiful gown but that color...on me?... no way. I Prefer Regency style because the empire gowns hide figure flaws very well !

BTW, don't you dislike comments that have just tons of links in them and have nothing to do with your post ? Very annoying !

LOVE!!! If only I had the figure to pull that off...although the dress is beautiful, it definitely doesn't look like a size six.
