Downton Abbey is a wonderfully crafted series with great characters and a good choice of actors/actresses playing the roles. Maggie Smith plays her part so well, as really do most of the cast. I love the fact that you must listen so that you catch the subtle moments of humour, sometimes quite unexpected. So the Series is great, but the information provided is lacking. IE as mentioned in some other reviews, neither the packing nor the disc list the name of the episodes on the packing or the disc. This is extremely annoying and also I feel quite sloppy. Perhaps those who make the decisions on the written information provided could take a leaf out of "Sailor", or "Lewis" who provide good written information.

Quite simply, this is the best show on television right now, and the Brits are the best at these period pieces. There is something for everyone: vulnerability, romance, manipulation, war, the inevitability of change, and more. Watch it!
