Results of the costume auction for the Jane Austen Centre
The big winner was the Anne Elliot dress and spencer jacket, but the waistcoat worn by Matthew MacFadyen, and featured in a post on this blog, did not sell. Amazing!
Matthew's waistcoat's didn't sell because they didn't reach the absurdly high reserve prices... one of them had an offer well over £300... but apparently that wasn't enough. I'd love to own one of them, but I have better things to do with my money.
